How To Grow Fresh Mushrooms Kits

Here are our straightforward and straightforward instructions for growing mushrooms using the Fresh Mushrooms Grow Kit. Follow these directions to the letter.

The Fresh Mushrooms Grow Kit makes cultivation as simple as possible. Due to the fact that the substrate is entirely colonized, these kits are incredibly low maintenance. There is no need to soak or spray them prior to their first flush. Only the proper growth conditions and some patience are required!

Important:

  • These kits are 100% ready to grow.

  • DO NOT submerge them for a soak.

  • DO NOT spray the kits – you can just leave them in the bag without opening it.

  • DO NOT use aluminium foil when growing mushrooms; it is not necessary for these kits.

  • DO NOT breath into the bag.

  • ALWAYS wash hands before working with a grow kit.

STEP 1

Remove the box of Fresh Mushrooms from the cardboard box, but don’t discard the cardboard box just yet. Remove the lid from the container made of plastic. It will be required for future flushes, so wash it under running water and keep it.

STEP 2

Place the grow bag on a level surface and insert the grow kit. Fold the bag under the grow kit and position the micro perforation directly above the cake with the arrow facing upwards. Then, place the whole arrangement in the original cardboard box to prevent sidelight. By tucking the bag beneath the grow kit, you have effectively sealed the bag and no longer need to be concerned about air movement.

STEP 3

Place in a place with enough sunlight and temperatures between 18°C and 28°C. Place NOT in direct sunlight. Although mushrooms will grow within this temperature range, maintaining a temperature of 23°C will maximize output. If you’re in a cool environment, a grow kit heating mat may assist you accomplish this. To develop, mushrooms prefer indirect sunlight.

Note: A grow kit heating mat can support the growing process, but it won’t make up for a room temperature that’s too low.

STEP 4

When the first pins show, you may alter the position of the grow bag and set it upright. Again, spraying is not necessary. After one to three weeks, the first mushrooms should become evident.

When the first caps are plainly visible, the bag must be kept slightly open to allow excess moisture to evaporate. Too much water might be detrimental to the mushrooms.

 

Authentic Mushrooms Grow Kits are capable of producing their first flush rapidly. Typically, the first pinheads will form within one to three weeks. Once caps form, it typically takes a week for mushrooms to completely mature.

HARVESTING

When it comes to harvesting your Fresh Mushroom Grow Kit, cleanliness is crucial. When harvesting, be careful to wash hands and forearms well with disinfectant soap and use sterile gloves. It is imperative that you pick your mushrooms prior to the veils beneath the caps tearing. If you do not harvest them by this time, the kit will likely not produce any further flushes!

Grasp the base of the stem, and with a gently twisting motion, remove the mushroom. It is essential to twist rather than just pull, since pulling may harm the mycelium and badly affect the subsequent flush. Following harvest, the stems may turn blue. STORING YOUR GROW KIT

As this is a fresh product, it is strongly suggested that you begin growing as soon as you get the kit. We do not advise keeping your equipment unless there is no other option. A grow kit may stay viable if refrigerated at 3 to 5 degrees Celsius. It may last up to four weeks here, but nothing is certain. Put the equipment in a clean, sealed plastic bag to reduce the danger of contamination.

ADDITIONAL HARVESTS

These kits yield more than one mushroom crop. There is the possibility of several flushes. Fill the tub with cold tap water when the initial harvest is complete; this is known as cold-shock and revitalizes the mycelium. Replace the lid on the container (you have hopefully kept it as we instructed). Now, let the tub to soak for 12 hours. After 12 hours, remove surplus liquid by opening a corner of the lid and draining it gently. Don’t fret if there is virtually no remaining water. This is a natural product, and the quantity of extra water in each kit may vary.

Now all you need to do is clean and store the lid and continue from step 2 again. You should be well on your way to another harvest of bountiful magic goodness! This process can be repeated multiple times.
